Diamond
Education
Understanding a diamond is understanding its light. This guide walks you through the four measures of a diamond's quality — and the precise standards Glorion holds every stone to.
Our Certification
Standards
Every Glorion diamond is independently graded and internally verified — so that what you receive is precisely what it is claimed to be.

The Universal Language
of Diamond Quality
The 4Cs were established by the Gemological Institute of America as the global standard for evaluating diamonds. Every Glorion stone is graded against all four dimensions — ensuring that what you wear is measured, documented, and exceptional.
Understanding these four qualities allows you to make a genuinely informed choice — not one guided by marketing, but by the actual characteristics of the stone in front of you.

Carat
Weight — the measure of a diamondCarat refers to the weight of a diamond. One carat equals exactly 200 milligrams and is divided into 100 points — so a 0.75 carat stone may be described as a "75-pointer." This is a precise scientific measurement, not a visual estimate.
Larger carat weights increase the visual presence of a diamond, but weight alone does not determine beauty. A well-cut stone of lower carat can appear larger and more brilliant than a heavier stone with a poor cut. At Glorion, carat weight is always considered alongside cut quality — never in isolation.

Cut
Brilliance — the measure of lightCut is widely considered the most important of the 4Cs. It does not refer to the shape of a diamond, but to how precisely its proportions, symmetry, and polish interact with light. A masterfully cut diamond returns light to the eye with extraordinary intensity — a poor cut loses it.
The GIA and IGI grade cut from Excellent down through Very Good, Good, Fair, and Poor. Glorion works exclusively with Ideal and Excellent cut grades. Even a diamond of exceptional colour and clarity can appear lifeless if the cut is compromised — we do not accept that trade-off.

Colour
Purity — the absence of tintDiamond colour is graded on a scale from D to Z, where D represents a completely colourless stone and Z indicates a light yellow or brown tint visible to the naked eye. The difference between adjacent grades is subtle and often invisible without direct comparison.
Glorion sources diamonds in the D to F range — the colourless tier — and occasionally G and H for specific settings where the metal colour makes the distinction imperceptible to the eye. In all cases, the colour grade is certified by IGI and disclosed transparently to the client.

Clarity
Purity — the measure of imperfectionClarity evaluates the presence of internal characteristics (inclusions) and surface features (blemishes). The GIA clarity scale ranges from Flawless (FL) — no inclusions visible under 10× magnification — through VVS1/VVS2, VS1/VS2, SI1/SI2, and down to Included grades.
The advantage of lab-grown diamonds is that our growth process can be optimised to produce stones at the higher end of the clarity scale consistently. Glorion works primarily in the VVS1 to VS2 range — where any inclusions are invisible to the naked eye and optical performance is never compromised.
Standards That
Speak for Themselves
Knowledge matters. Every Glorion diamond comes with complete documentation — because a stone you understand is a stone you can wear with genuine confidence.
IGI Certified
Every Glorion diamond is graded by the International Gemological Institute — the same independent authority that grades the world's finest natural diamonds. The certificate travels with the stone.
17-Step Inspection
Before any stone becomes a Glorion piece, it passes our internal 17-point quality review — checking optical performance, setting compatibility, and finish quality at every stage of production.
Full Transparency
The 4Cs, the certificate number, the cut grade, the laser inscription — all disclosed on every product page, without exception. You know exactly what you are purchasing before you purchase it.
